Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Overnight Operations Supervisor to oversee all operations during the overnight shift and ensure the smooth functioning of our hotel. Responsibilities include supervising all overnight operations, maintaining ongoing communication with department managers, and effectively handling guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction. The role involves being highly familiar with the hotel computer system for training, maintenance, and troubleshooting purposes, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of lobby areas, corridors, and staircases. Additionally, the Supervisor will oversee the storage of guest luggage, maintain an orderly shift log of bell stand activities, and possess knowledge of hotel history and valet operations. The ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable about fire alarm procedures and other emergencies, as well as Omni Hotel rules and regulations. Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all operations during overnight shift.
  • Communicate with all department managers on continuing basis.
  • Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints.
  • Be very familiar with the hotel computer system for training maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • All lobby area corridors and staircases are kept debris free at all times.
  • Oversees and keeps on order the storage of all guest luggage.
  • Maintains an orderly shift log of all Bell stand activities including check-in, check-out, deliveries, luggage storage, mail and message deliveries.
  • Knowledge of the Hotel History
  • Knowledge of the Valet operations.
  • Receive direction for house calls via phone or radio.
  • Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous luxury hotel experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
  • Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed.
  • Four year college degree, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems and related computer programs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
