Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Under the direction of a Cardiologist, Cardiac Sonographers perform ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.

    • Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Knowledge of Cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as procedures and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • License/Certifications: Valid state licensure as required by law. Registered in Cardiac Sonography RDCS or RCS and Current BLS.
    • Experience: Preferred minimum 5 years’ experience.
