JOB TITLE: Associate Business Development Exec. - Medical Device

LEVEL: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: Exec Director, Business Dev - North America

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Business Development Executive- Medical De vi works with the Business Development team to build PCI's Medical Device Sales through prospecting of new clients and building upon existing relationships. The Associate BDE is a key contributor to the Business Development team for building a strong and robust medical device business and as an entry level position in Sales.


JOB DUTIES
* To determine which market segments to drive new client business and determine which opportunities are a good fit for PCI's target Medical Device business.
* New Business opportunity responsibilities includes updating the database with potential and new client data, and communications of all forms. Write and/or support the writing of proposals for sales opportunities. Travel to prospective client and PCI sites and present PCI's capabilities as required.
* Work with the Exec. Director, Business Development D&M NA and others such as the PCI-Manchester site head to manage existing client sales, follow up on new incoming opportunities, discuss strategies to increase Manchester Business and also support Sales in other potential areas such as non-aseptic sales for 25C, bulk lyo sales, and other sales opportunity areas as assigned.
* Coordinate with the PCI-Manchester Site Head and Exec. Director, Business Development D&M NA to develop and execute annual pricing increases. Document past pricing increases and manage pricing letters or other means of communication for the annual pricing increases.
* Attend Medical Device conferences as required, and attend and assist with other conferences focused on our PCI services as needed.
* Assist the Exec. Director, Business Development D&M NA and other territory BDEs as needed.
* Work to develop and execute sales plan to maximize sales growth


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proficient technical skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
* Basic understanding of Sales and the Sales Process for the CDMO industry
* Excellent communication and team interaction skills for routine interaction with PCI staff, as well as others.


EXPERIENCE
* 0-4 years of Business Development/Sales experience
* Medical Device/Pharma experience strongly preferred


EDUCATION

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science, or Chemistry

QUALITIES

* Self-starter, ability to work independently and successfully manage time and complex programs

* Focused with strong attention to detail
* Strong at networking and building strong working relationships
* Willingness to travel up to 40% is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* A frequent volume of work and deadlines may impose strain on a routine basis
* Minimal physical effort is required
* Able to travel
* Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 20 lbs.
* Ability to work from home


COMMUNICATIONS & CONTACTS
* The Assoc. BDE will have frequent communication with the Exec. Director to discuss proposals, key targets, and sales strategies.
* Will work closely with the site head at the Manchester facility.

MANAGERIAL & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Not Applicable

TRAVEL: Approximately 40%
