Your Role

Mission:

To facilitate growth of Power Technique's Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators at dealer and end-user locations.

Hourly Rate: $35-$38 based on experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
• Effectively communicate with service manager and service administrator for service quotes, required parts and schedule coordination.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, repair, and overhaul Atlas Copco portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
• Test completed work, ensuring all operating parameters are within Atlas Copco specifications. Document activities and results in a detailed manner.
• Provide basic tools required for activities described above. Maintain specialized and/or calibrated tools provided by the company.
• Provide high level of customer service. Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
• Train and assist other service technicians.
• Maintain company-provided service vehicle in a clean and professional manner, ensuring all required maintenance is performed per recommended schedules.

To succeed, you will need

Experience:

10 years total experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines, portable compressors, generators, and pumps is required, at least 5 years of that experience as a traveling or remote technician.

Education:

A High School diploma or GED is required.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Strong competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, scheduling software, etc.), business systems, and/or distribution channels.
• Willingness to grow within the business.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Travel:

Extensive travel to customer locations is required, 50-60% overnight travel is expected.
