Program Overview

The MST (Multisystemic Therapy) Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to youth, their families, communities, and other key members. The primary focus is on implementing Multisystemic Therapy interventions to address various behavioral, emotional, and relational issues within the context of the individual's ecosystem. MST Therapists address the needs of juveniles with serious criminal offenses, including and in some cases, substance abuse. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 12-17 make life-transforming changes. Treatment progress is made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist to join our team. The MST Therapist will provide intensive, home-based therapy to adolescents and their families who are involved in the juvenile justice system or at risk of out-of-home placement. This role is community-based and requires travel to the Hillsborough county.

Position Overview

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify presenting problems, strengths and systemic factors contributing to difficulties.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the principles of Multisystemic Therapy, incorporating relevant evidence-based interventions and strategies.
• Provide direct therapeutic interventions to at-risk youth and their families, and collaborate with other key members.
• Implement crisis management strategies as needed to address immediate safety concerns for clients and their families.
• Participate in individual and group supervision training to enhance clinical skills and ensure fidelity to the MST model.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including sessions notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
• Collaborate with other professionals and service providers involved in client's ecosystem, including social services, schools, court, mental health agencies, etc.

Schedule: Full Time Non-Traditional and Weekends on as needed basis

Wage Range: $60,000 - 65,000 annually

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Bachelors Degree considered with experience.
• Must possess a valid drivers license and have reliable transportation to travel to clients homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.
• Must live within a 60-90 minute travel time from the designated service area.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload while adhering to program requirements and deadlines.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
• Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence and trauma-informed practice.
