Job Overview

We are seeking a Director of Manufacturing & Production Planning to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. This role will work with Camden Site Leadership and Program customers.

Essential Functions

20% - Provide leadership and management for the Camden, AR operations for production of Energetics, production of Rocket Motors, Warheads and other related ordinance.

20% - Provide leadership to a diverse team and mentor the team in achieving operational excellence.

20% - Lead interactions with external customers and government officials that visit the site.

20% - Ensure compliance to both safety and QA regulatory offices. Ensure that both commercial and government QA certification are maintained through site compliance.

20% - Lead all site activities to ensure that products are produced to schedule and budget. Interface with Program Managers to ensure alignment of resources and capabilities to meet business demands.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 14 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience leading production operations in a DOD energetic operation.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a DoD compliant Earned Value Management budget system needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of demonstrated use of LEAN principles leading production operations.
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated use of ERP systems desired.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in standard manufacturing and office settings and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. Requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
