Cleaner - Second Shift

Job Description Summary

Monday - Friday ~ 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services @ Dover School District, SAU 11. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remove trash and recycling
  • Vacuum or sweep & mop floors/stairwells
  • Vacuum carpets, spot clean carpets when required
  • Maintain corridors with daily sweeping, auto-scrubbing, and routine burnishing
  • Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, and toilets
  • Check and change light bulbs as needed
  • Perform routine dusting of vents, lights, ledges, and sills
  • Assist with snow removal and sanding near building entrances during winter months
  • Perform various tasks during summer cleaning such as furniture washing, floor stripping, waxing, etc.
  • You may be asked to 'float' to another building, or area other than assigned due to shortage in manpower, or to help with large events
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the site/and or building(s)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check
  • Requires attention to detail and pride in work completed
