Albany International Corporation seeks a Senior Analyst, HR Portfolio Analytics to support our growing business. This role is responsible for partnering with Human Resources teams to provide HR data analytics and insights of people data. Proactively identifies areas of opportunities to align HR strategies with business needs. This person will uncover trends and assist with the development of our predictive analysis strategy while closely partnering with local HR to ensure HR data is accurate and up-to-date. The Albany HR Team is a world class team focused on these key HR Strategy Levers: Organizational Development, Talent Management, and Organizational Effectiveness. The HRIS team has global responsibilities that focus on four (4) main topics: Compliance, User Experience, Analytics, and Business Requests. These topics? have a direct link to the overall HR Strategy. We partner with local HR to help improve and streamline processes. The HRIS team works cross-functionally, giving this person an opportunity to interact with colleagues across business units and functions at Albany.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will have a background in statistics and previous experience implementing advanced analytical models to identify trends in HR and preparing reports for senior management highlighting key findings.

This individual will work diligently to support employees and Human Resources teams with our SAPHR- Assisting with large scale implementation, taking the lead to improve HR efficiency through automation and process improvements. They will be responsible for maintaining our HR Metrics dashboard and assist with the development of Predictive Analytics.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, apt in building collaborative and productive relationships within HR and cross functionally. Their strong analytical and research skills will allow them to find and create solutions to solve technical issues, improve processes and user experience. They must be able to run projects and travel to locations.

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Data Science, or Statistics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing complex data analysis, reporting, metrics, and insights to support the HR Portfolio analytics and business needs.
  • Provides data on trends, benchmarking, predictive modeling, and costing to HR users in a simplistic form.
  • Reviews and complies HR data from multiple sources, to ensure data integrity, consistency, best practices, and usefulness to align with business needs.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR reporting and analyze reporting, identifying trends and/or anomalies warranting additional research.
  • Develop analytics solutions that are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the expectations of the decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Performs data quality checks using advanced knowledge of HR data to identify data anomalies proactively prior to delivering data to end users. Resolves data integrity issues and escalates problems outside are of expertise.
  • Responsible for working with highly sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the confidentiality of the information used during the normal course of business.
  • Ensures all reporting is maintained according to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
  • May participate in cross-functional teams and provide recommendations for HR Portfolio analytics.
  • Perform statistical analysis of workforce data. Analyze and mine data from a variety of sources to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points.
  • Assist with scale implementations of new systems, upgrades to current systems, and/or new modules of current systems by setting up test users, completing testing scripts, and analyzing results to determine if adjustments are needed prior to go-live
  • Lead implementation meetings both in person and remotely
  • Post go-live support of various systems (SAP HR, SuccessFactors, SharePoint, ATS etc.)
  • Run the weekly payroll processing steps using the SAP CATS system (backup)
  • Make suggestions on how to improve HRIS processes and tools to help optimize technology
  • Collaborate and partner with Local HR to ensure SAP HR meets the business needs. Assist in adjusting systems, as new specs are required. Examples include: gathering specs for: work schedules, overtime rules, paid-time-off rules for vacation, hourly PTO, etc.

This is an onsite position with 25% travel required, domestic and international.




  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or business
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP Systems
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, etc.)
  • Expert skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: vlookup, macro workbook, pivot table, strong understanding of Excel functions & formulas).
  • Expert level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: create tables, graphs, and analytics)
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Word
  • Deep understanding of mathematics and ability to make conceptual connection with data
