Albany International Corp. seeks an HR AI Intern to support our growing business. This role will be key for identifying AI Trends and Tools that could be applicable to the Human Resources area, to provide HR data analytics and insights of people data. Will proactively identify areas of opportunity where AI can be applied to enhance HR strategies along with business needs. This person will uncover AI trends and assist with the development of our predictive analysis strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Albany HR team and make an important contribution to the AI capabilities of our company.

Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. Our products and technologies help make paper smoother, tissue softer, and aircraft engines and structures lighter. The company has two core businesses, The segment is the world's leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries and (AEC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will have a background in administration, systems or HR: previous experience identifying AI models, tools and trends for HR is preferred, skills for preparing reports highlighting key findings are a plus.

This intern will work diligently to support the Corporate Human Resources team through diagnosis of AI Trends, Tools and Models and their possible applications to the HR area creating efficiency through automation and process improvements. They will be responsible for creating a Diagnostic of the AI Tools that will be applicable to our HR initiatives across the company.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, apt in building collaborative and productive relationships within HR and cross functionally. Their strong analytical and research skills will allow them to find and create solutions to solve AI technical issues and improve HR processes related to the employee experience. They must be able to run projects and be present in the office.

It is desired that candidates possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in Human Resources, IT, Data Science, or Statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating a diagnostic of AI Trends, Tools and Models that could be applicable to Albany HR.
  • Develop AI proposals for HR that are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the expectations of the decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Perform data quality checks before presenting the diagnostic and proposal to management and Corporate HR team.
  • Responsible for working with highly sensitive and confidential information, maintaining the confidentiality of the information used during the normal course of business.
  • Ensures information is maintained according to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
  • Perform statistical analysis of workforce data.
  • Make suggestions on how to improve HR processes and tools to help optimize technology.
  • May collaborate in cross-functional teams and partner with Local HR to provide AI recommendations that meet the business needs.
  • Assist in other corporate HR functions, while maintaining the AI Diagnostic and Proposal as a priority.

  • Undergraduate Junior or Senior year in a Bachelor's Degree program for IT, HR or business degree
