Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for making plant wide improvements by conducting and facilitating lean workshops and training activities in all areas of the facility.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide training and facilitation for all areas including workflow analysis, valve stream mapping, standard work, setup reduction, benchmarking and all other general kaizen improvements activities.
  • Lead via driving and supporting the facility 6s activities including training, guidance and assessment (act as 6s Coordinator for the division).
  • Make improvements throughout the facility including program planning, promotion and communication, activity documentation, team organization and process analysis.
  • Conduct team training and improvement workshops along with improvement implementation and follow up.
  • Support the development and implementation of the CI plan and all CI initiatives for the division

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSME, BSIE or other technical degree preferred
  • 5 Years experience using lean manufacturing techniques and ands on implementation of manufacturing/office cells.
  • Certification in lean techniques along with varied lean manufacturing training is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft office Products (PowerPoint/Word/Excel).
  • Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills along with good facilitation, training, presentation and leadership skills needed.
