What You Will Do:
This is an exciting opportunity for Interns to work on avionics that fly on aircraft of the present and the future!
Astronautics Corporation of America (Astronautics) is seeking Interns who would like to learn about sophisticated electronic systems that pilots use to fly commercial and military aircraft. At Astronautics, one day, you can work on a computer that helps navigate a Boeing commercial jet, and the next day, you can work on a display system that provides mission information to Air Force F-16 pilots. Since 1959, Astronautics has designed and manufactured avionics for over 150,000 aircraft. Our reputation is unsurpassed in the aerospace industry. Our displays, computers, and avionics systems fly on board the most sophisticated aircraft in the world and are built to last for the life of the aircraft. Our service and repairs department are vital to ensuring the highest quality products that pilots depend upon.
Our electronics technicians evaluate and diagnose our products, which may require service or repair, and then perform the work to return these products to flight-worthy status. Our Interns, working under the guidance of our experienced technicians, will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing these electronic systems using drawings, schematics, and test equipment. These year-round internship opportunities are for anyone enrolled in a technical college who is pursuing an associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or related field of study and is interested in starting a career as an electronics technician. We offer competitive pay, a friendly team environment, and flexible hours during the workweek to accommodate school schedules. This is a first shift, part-time position (minimum 24 hours, Mon-Fri). Work hours are generally 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
