JOB TITLE: Drafter/CAD Operator III

LOCATION: Dover, NH

SUPPORTING: Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Service Contract Act (SCA)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical School degree in drafting, illustrating, or graphic arts.
• Experience modifying engineering plans, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient and at least five (5) years of experience in AutoCAD software.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to a government client using Computer Aided Design Drafting (CAD) software.
• Maintain floor plans: personnel and equipment location.
• Create and maintain drawings of submarine and or ship systems to include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic.
• Perform modification of drawings using AutoCAD software and production, review and or analysis of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
• Develop technical data/specifications and observe and track technical testing.
• Define technical configuration of equipment and technical accuracy of supporting documents.
• Work directly with client engineers to create the final product.
• Work from sketches, models, and verbal information to create drawings, schematics, and complex diagrams.
