Job Description
Inspect the pour and recharge enclosure. Analyze and correct system failures. Good communication with Charger and Hunter operators. Ability to follow recording procedures.

YOU WILL:

  • Start-up, set-up and run auto pour machine, also hand pouring required.
  • Able to use overhead crane for recharging of furnaces.
  • Analyze and correct simple system failures.
  • Inspect the pour and recharge enclosure, prior to starting process.
  • Report mechanical malfunctions to maintenance and/or the supervisor.
  • Use of good judgment and common sense to reduce scrap and serious problems.
  • Maintain area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Work is repetitive.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

YOU HAVE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous melting experience preferred.
  • SPC charting required.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills needed.
  • Requires the use of judgment to follow instructions and standard operating procedures. Must be highly safety conscious.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear as well as use hands extensively for pushing/pulling, reaching forward and overhead. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position can be both mentally and physically demanding.

*WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work in manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to excessive heat, dust, dirt, fumes, and noise.
  • The following safety equipment is needed to perform this position: respirator, steel toed shoes/boots, ear plugs, safety glasses (tinted), bump cap w/face shield, spats(leggings)/apron, and pouring gloves.
