Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Performs tasks of the maintenance technician in addition to leading the HVAC program of the hospital and allied facilities. With main focus on HVAC, will also perform preventive and general maintenance duties and housekeeping as assigned.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Vocational Education, with 1 -3 years' experience in Plant engineering or boiler service. Boiler operator's license preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Valid driver's license. May be required to be licensed in a trade such as plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and/or boiler operation.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in hospital maintenance preferred. Must have experience and perform work in compliance with applicable regulations in the following areas: Plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, boilers and associated control equipment.
    • Requires knowledge of heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigeration. Must demonstrate understanding of Plant HVAC and circulating systems and ability to trouble shoot these systems for maintenance either by in-house Staff or external Contractor(s).
    • Requires knowledge in electrical/electronic controls and equipment.
