As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact and the subject matter expert for all network-related issues and projects within the company. You will be part of the Global Infrastructure Team, and you will lead, teach, and mentor the Junior Network Engineer on the team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly in the support of network infrastructure. You will ensure that the network meets the established KPIs and SLAs, and that all network vulnerabilities are mitigated according to company policy. You will also be available for on-call support, as needed, to resolve network outages or network incidents that affect the business. In addition, you will collaborate with the OT network team, as needed, to support the industrial network operations.

You will be working with a variety of network technologies, including on-premises, cloud (Azure and OCI), and co-location environments. You will have the opportunity to design, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions that meet the business needs and align with the company's vision and strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As the owner of global networking, you will develop, maintain, support, and optimize key functional areas, particularly in the support of network infrastructure.
  • Responsibility for Incident Management, Problem Management, Monitoring Response and Reporting/Metrics for networking.
  • 24/7 responsibility for cloud network (data) availability.
  • Advise and recommend improvements to policies and processes related to networking.
  • Lead team of technical network resources.
  • Proactive communication on network health, impacts, executive escalations, and other critical analysis to management and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the main POC for networking vendors, such as ISPs.
  • Architect and provide recommendations for improvements for global LAN/WAN operations that align with our global strategy and that support performance and uptime.
  • Implement and manage networking systems, patch networking systems, and configure networking systems according to company cybersecurity standards.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team, as necessary.
  • Availability during off-hours (weekdays and weekends) to resolve P1 network incidents.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar discipline (preferred).
  • 7+ years of industry experience in network engineering.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • CCNP or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of internet protocols and architectures such as HTTP(S), TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, wireless (802.11*), SDWAN, SDN, network automation, network routing, firewalls, and switching.
  • Proficiency in Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Azure and OCI Networking.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining network monitoring systems to measure network KPIs and SLAs.
  • Nice-to-have knowledge in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
