Job Description

Loureiro Building Construction, LLCis a contractor with a broad range of experience in design/build, general contracting, and construction management firm that can self-perform in all market sectors. Our in-house capabilities include site work, concrete, carpentry, and select finish trades.

We are searching for a FieldSuperintendent for projects out of our Portsmouth, NH office. This person will work a number of diverse projects within design/build, general contracting and construction management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Take a strategic role in preconstruction, constructability reviews and risk assessments.
  • Proactively identify and strategically solve problems with minimal executive oversight.Maintain compliance with construction codes, and safety and government regulations.
  • Uphold the project schedule and support the control of costs; and report overall status to stakeholders.
  • Direct a diverse group of internal and external team members, including subcontractors, and provide liaison between field engineering and laborers/craft workers to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
  • Build strong relationships with clients/owners, subcontractors and inspection authorities.
  • Ensure all onsite operations are conducted safely, on-time, on-budget and to our quality standards.
  • Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  • Help prepare work schedule, determine manpower requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, and supervise completion of final punch list.
  • Promote job site safety and encourage safe work practices.
  • Monitor work performance and productivity to ensure project compliance with specifications, procedures, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Advise Project Managers/Executives of potential problems, work interference, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving problems as required.
  • Conduct daily walkthrough of the project site(s) ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.
  • Attend and participate in all preparatory and initial quality control phase meetings.
  • Produce a Daily Safety Report of activities performed, and other daily reports as assigned.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in construction management/related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing onsite construction operations.
  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter, hands on highly motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn various policies, procedures and software programs.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Proactive and driven to achieve results to get the job done right.
  • Strong organizational skills to keep projects on schedule and on track.
  • Strong integrity and relationship-building skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform tasks that require flexibility such as bending, kneeling, climbing, or reaching.
  • Excellent agility to safely navigate construction sites, including uneven surfaces, heights, and potential hazards.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving up to 100 pounds.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to adverse weather conditions and exposure to loud noises.
