Role:

The Business Intelligence Analyst partners with business partners across the credit union to understand their business needs and translates those needs into actionable analytics solutions. They lead business intelligence efforts and develop visualization and analytics solutions. In addition, the Business Intelligence Analyst facilitates the adoption of Agile methodologies, creates and oversees documentation and artifact design and delivery, and serves as a communication champion for the Data & Analytics team.

Partners with business partners to understand their business needs and translate these into actionable analytics solutions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive analytics projects, ensuring alignment with institution's strategic goals and client objectives. Acts as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data concepts in an accessible manner.

Develops and maintains advanced dashboards and reports to provide insightful data visualizations and business intelligence solutions. Provides mentorship and guidance to team members on best practices in data visualization.

Leads data analytics projects utilizing institutional business intelligence tools and approaches for visualizing and interpreting data. Manages project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and completion, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations in terms of quality and timeliness. Facilitates the adoption of Agile methodologies within the team to enhance project delivery and team performance.

Leads creation and management of documentation and internal/business partner facing deliverables and artifacts. Oversees and maintains team's communication efforts and champions services and accomplishments through effective outreach and information sharing.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience providing data analytics solutions with 5+ years of experience in a senior data visualization development and project lead role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau leveraging features that drive optimization.
  • Standard Tableau knowledge including dashboard creation, data modeling, and visual analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage data analytics projects, with a track record of successful delivery.
  • Solid understanding of data analytics principles, data structures, and business intelligence trends.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from data and communicate findings to stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and provide leadership to understand and drive business insight and create strategic alignment of data and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and creating impactful relationships and outcomes with business partners.
  • Familiarity and experience with Jira and Confluence desired.
  • Familiarity and experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, and data warehousing concepts is advantageous.
  • Financial institution and member/customer research experience desired. Experience with financial transaction systems preferred

Education:

Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent experience and training.
