Nordson MEDICAL designs, engineers and manufactures complex devices and components with applications in wound healing, surgical and minimally invasive, fluid management, pulmonology and interventional and structural heart. Our pioneering Advanced Polymers team was the first to manufacture and supply medical balloons to the medical device industry. Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.

  • Meet customer and internal project requirements on time and on budget.
  • Determines product specifications, incorporating product design drawings, notes, process capabilities, customer requirements, performance standards, and completing technical studies.
  • Conducts test as required.
  • Confirms product performance using existing procedures and installed base of equipment.
  • Supports project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans conferring with lead engineers, customers and management as required.
  • Drives project schedules by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, executing assigned task per the plan, and ensuring full stream completion of required activities.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, product performance and recommended actions.
  • Prepares project status or engineering reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
  • Optimize product performance and create documentation for efficient transfer to volume production status.
  • Conduct product and process investigations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Innovate balloon materials, features, and capabilities for future customer growth.
  • Research, develop, and implement new process technologies and equipment.
  • Maintain safe and clean, working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Operates within the quality management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
