Responsible for leading sourcing activities including, category baselining, profiling, preparation, execution and analysis of sourcing events. Provides resolution to a diverse range of projects in the Marketing Category (various complexity). Drives procurement savings, compliance and risk management improvements. Serve as liaison/mentor for all Category Specialist.

  • Provide expertise in developing category strategies for Marketing, Marketing Technology, Advertising, Print, Analytics and Customer Packaging that support our goals and conduct ongoing reviews to inform future opportunities

  • Own Marketing Services category inclusive of agencies, print, retail, and promotional goods - $100M in annual spend and be able to deliver YoY value back to the business

  • Establish Master Service Agreements with Meetings & Events preferred suppliers while owning the procurement relationship and developing the strategic approach for the M&E category

  • Assist with transient travel activities inclusive of annual hotel RFP

  • Lead sourcing events along with a team that consists of Business Partners, Category Leads, Contract & Sourcing Specialist; create business case recommendations and partner with the functional business leaders to make final decisions on suppliers, includes meeting scheduling and communication of projects progress.

  • Deliver exceptional Customer Experience

  • Independently project manage Sourcing engagements (engage with customer & supplier) using sound judgement to accomplish the objectives

  • End-to-end ownership of various complexity projects (from Intake to Savings Validated)

  • Build, grow BU / Intro-team partnerships

  • Educate, support, drive compliance for Sourcing & Procurement policies

  • Engage and partner with RFx support team to provide RFx management and execution including but not limited to bid template development as required

  • Supplier negotiations

  • Input project status within Salesforce and routing of final agreements vis DocuSign

  • Serves as a resource for team members with less experience

  • Drive forecasting excellence through continuous 18-month forecasting of all projects vis our Salesforce workflow solution and ensure all entries are compliant

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of corporate business experience

  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing and category management expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in technology and professional services categories

  • Direct experience negotiating complex Agreements in Marketing Technology, Marketing, Advertising, Print, or Customer Packaging categories


Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Problem solving and creative thinking

  • Excellent comprehension and ability to understand complex contracts

  • Strong written and oral communication

  • Experience drafting agreements and creating SLA's / performance guarantees

  • Presentationexperience with large audiences and executive leaders

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Able to work across cultures effectively, valuing diversity within a virtual team

  • Understanding of procurement productivity tracking for savings, forecasting, and supplier diversity

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$103,400 - $172,400
