PRIMARY PURPOSE: To develop and manage project assignments through completion; to lead and direct project teams; to communicate results; to make recommendations to management; and to provide training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Identifies required resources; researches project data, procedures and history for a thorough understanding of project direction.
  2. Generates and analyzes statistical data reports.
  3. Develops, prepares and manages project plan through completion.
  4. Coordinates and facilitates project teams; assigns responsibilities to team participants.
  5. Communicates activity progress to involved parties.
  6. Resolves issues that arise involving client, when appropriate.
  7. Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings.
  8. Transitions program to management personnel.
  9. Participates in oral presentations.
  10. Develops and provides training to management and colleagues as needed.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  3. Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  2. Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
  3. Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Baccalaureate degree with major in Business Administration, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis from an accredited college or university preferred. Computer Sciences courses preferred.

Experience
Nine (9) years of related experience required to include four (4) years project management, office operations management, managed care, insurance-related and/or statistical analysis experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of related field procedures or insurance-related procedures and/or managed care systems and operations
