Post-graduate internship timeline: Summer 2021 - December 31, 2021

Team Description: The HR Business Partner team is responsible for shaping the employee experience and championing the development of our people and the organization. HR Business Partners support their teams by aligning employees tobusinessobjectives, recruiting the right talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, enhancing recruitment efforts, planning strategicHRinitiatives, managingHRconsultants, running orientation and onboarding processes. Through these efforts the company will be better positioned to attain business goals, attract talented recruits, and experience improvements in employee morale and employee relations.

Learning Outcomes: A successful candidate is an ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to function as an effective and strategic team member. As an intern working closely with an HR Business partner, you will participate in several activities to further your professional development and provide you with networking opportunities. Some learning outcomes include goal setting and job expectation discussions, participating in the performance evaluation process, as well as interaction and presentation to various levels within the organization.

Intern Impact: In this role, the selected intern will experience what it is like to work as an HRBP and will collaborate directly with the business units and other HRBP's. This role requires a hands-on mentality and to work proactively. There will be project work that will improve existing processes for the organization.

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding and partnering with the recruitment team in hiring employees based on business needs.
  • Partner with business leaders and other support functions to maintain a highly motivated and engaged workforce.
  • Draft policies, procedures and programs in support of business needs.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee concerns and partner with the HRBP in conducting necessary investigations.
  • Maintain a high-level of customer service with clients both internal and external.

Position Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelors or master's degree within the last 9 months in a related field, such as Human Resources Management or Business Major
  • Must be available to work onsite 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday throughout the internship program (Summer - December 2021)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
